All meals on board are served buffet style freshly cooked from the on board kitchen. Snacks and fruits are served in between dives.
The Sundeck is an excellent place for spotting large marine life like Dolphins and possibly Whalesharks. The deeper more exposed sites you dive on this trip offer the best chances of seeing them in the area.
The Dive Platform is at the stern of the main deck. It has plenty of room and rinsing and storage facilities for equipment. All of the tanks are stored here with DIN adapters available if required. The boat crew, will assist you gearing up and also help you on your dive entry and exit. Filling the tanks is also the crews responsibility so all you do is dive . . .
A Good Way To Dive Just The Far North Sites You begin your trip with check in at the dive centre at around 6:30pm followed by a transfer to the pier and an 8:30pm departure. Dinner is served at about 9:30pm and the boat cruises overnight to Koh Bon. You awake in divers paradise for your first dive. . .
The diving is at Koh Bon and Koh Tachai for your first day and then moves to Richelieu Rock & the Surin Islands for your second day. On your final day you return south to Koh Bon and if conditions permit, the Boonsung Wreck.
This is a very popular excellent value trip. Not so many boats give you the opportunity to focus on the less visited far north sites and skip diving the Similan Islands completely, especially at such an affordable price.
Daily Schedule The daily routine aboard the Manta Queen V is as follows: Wake up call at 6:15am. Enjoy a coffee or tea whilst a dive briefing is given and then kit upand do your first dive of the day. All dives are planned as Multi Level and each diver must dive with a buddy. A full breakfast is served at around 9am upon your return.
Relax on board for a couple of hours and then kit up for your second dive at 11am. Lunch is served at around 12:30.
After another couple of hours relaxing you are back in the water at 2pm for dive three and then snacks are served around 3pm when you get back on board.
Now is a good time to visit the sundeck as the sun in the late afternoon is more bearable in Thailand than the heat at midday
At around 5:30pm you have your final dive of the day and then dinner is served at 7:00pm. You are then free to retire to your cabin or sit and enjoy a beer and watch the night sky whilst discussing the days exploits. . .
